Kayu Tulang is a private project of two Villas, located in the renowned area of Canggu.

The houses are located in an unbeatable environment, very quiet, a few meters from the beach, they belong to a complex of Villas, which shares a private access road.

With a minimalist tropical architectural style, the Villas have been designed with local materials, seeking a harmonious balance between sustainability, environment and design.

The project tries to open the spaces to the maximum, to integrate them to the outside, letting the garden invade the interior areas.

The topographic plan has been taken into account to shape the buildings, so that each Villa, although it shares the same principle and materials, has a different configuration.

with a minimalist and warm, homely style, putting all natural materials at their best.

One of the main motivations of the developer was to be able to join or maintain the independent villas, according to the needs of the guests, in this way, the two adjoining villas are separated or joined through a door.

Priority has been given to the use of natural materials, such as wood, Alan2 and bamboo for the ceilings, or the use of lime stones on the walls.

The landscape design has been made using only local species.

Each Villa has three bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, all overlooking the pool, each Villa has its own private pool in a beautiful Balinese style garden.

The engineering room is located between the parking lot and the front boundary wall, to allow all technical services and maintenance to occur without disturbing the privacy of the guests.

VILLA 1

With a contemporary Tropical style, the Villa has been designed as a single linear volume, which is only interrupted by the combination of the classic Balinese thatched gable roof with a flat roof, which constitutes the Master Room: a cubic volume of rational concrete, which gives the Villa a feeling of conceptual lightness.

The interiors take natural materials to the maximum expression, seeking visual austerity, clarity and neutrality, to give prominence to the green of the garden, which provides warmth and comfort, while allowing you to feel the lifestyle of the island.

The living room, dining room and kitchen are united in a diaphanous space open to the outside, the pool blends with the interior environment.

Each bedroom, as well as the master suite, has its own bathroom and a desk area, so that each guest can enjoy moments of privacy, inside the room, enjoying the comfort of a spacious and contemplative space.

VILLA 2

Following the same style line as in Villa 1, but playing with different forms in the building, to make each Villa unique and respect the topography of the land. This Villa consists of two volumes, creating a more open and outgoing day area and a more intimate area at night. The two volumes are separated by the garden and the pool and each room is projected towards the pool, to enjoy the views.

The entrance volume contains the living room / dining room / kitchen, in an open and diaphanous space, integrated into the garden areas.

Facing this building, the rooms are located on two floors.

On the ground floor we find two bedrooms with bathroom en suite. The bathrooms are semi-open to allow the green of the plants to flood the spaces.

On the upper floor, the main suite is located. An almost independent attic, consisting of a balcony, designed as a gazebo, to contemplate the impressive views of the environment.

Inside the room, a loft has been built, as if it were a nest, which can be used to accommodate one more guest, or as an area for rest and inspiration.

The engineering room is located with an external access from the private street that allows all technical services and maintenance to be carried out without compromising the privacy of the guests.
